The CJ Group was established in 1919 with the initial objective of trading in tobacco and subsequently ventured into the manufacturing and marketing of bidis. Catering to local tastes. The CJ Group scaled up the manufacturing and marketing of bidis across different states, predominantly in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Assam, and Madhya Pradesh.The Group has offices in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Nadiad, Mumbai, Delhi, Saharanpur, Karnal, Kanpur, Nagpur, Kolkata, Gondia, Sagar, Ranikhet, Guwahati, and Agra. The Group is actively managed by young, dedicated, and professionally qualified staff in the fields of Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Production, and Legal.
The consistent growth in the Group’s turnover and profitability is attributable to professional and innovative management policies. The Group’s core activities revolve around the manufacturing and marketing of bidis, tobacco, and tendu leaves (bidi leaves), as well as finance, microfinance, renewable energy, and real estate.
The Group’s directors have recently constructed CEEJAY Residency in Worli, along with CEEJAY House, also situated in Worli, Mumbai.
The Group is committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and has consistently contributed towards the development of educational, social, and medical institutions. The Group has set up Engineering, Science, and Arts colleges in Gondia, Maharashtra, and has also contributed towards the technological development of the Civil Hospital and Kidney Hospital in Nadiad, Gujarat.
Board Of Directors
Ceejay Finance has highly experienced Board of Directors which comprises of a Non-Executive Chairman, a Managing Director and Four Non-Executive Directors. Three of the Non-Executive Directors are Independent Directors. Ceejay Finance was promoted by Mr. Harshad Dalal who was also a Chairman of the Company and Mr. Deepak Patel who is the Managing Director of the Company. Mr Deepak Patel has completed his MBA from University of Florida
(Miami) and is also engaged in the manufacturing & marketing of beedis. Mr Deepak Patel also
has experience in the business of finance, investments, Power Generation and real estate. He
currently looks after day to day activities of the company.
Mr Kiran Patel is a commerce graduate who has over 35 years of
experience in the beedi and tobacco industry. Mr Kiran Patel has been looking after the
manufacturing, marketing of beedis along with accounting, finance and taxation of the whole
group. Mr Kiran Patel is a member of the Bidi Merchant Association of India (BMAI), a
forefront organisation whose primary objective is to help the tobacco farmers, beedi wrapping
labourers and the whole beedi industry.
Mr Shailesh Patel is a commerce graduate, who looks after the
purchasing, quality and mixing of tobacco which is used for manufacturing beedis for over 2
decades.
Mrs. Prachi Patel is Non-Executive Independent Woman Director of the
Company since August 12, 2025. She is BBA Finance from University of Central Florida, United
States. She currently serves as a Trustee of NES Trusts since April, 2019. She has vast
experience of more than 7 years in the field of Education, Social and Finance and contributed
extensively to diverse cultures and multiple functions within the Education and Social Sector.
Mr. Samirbhai Parikh is Non-Executive Independent Director of the
Company since August 01, 2024. He is a Science Graduate and Diploma in Chemical Engineer. He
has vast experience of more than 20 years in Insurance, Finance and Tour & Travel business. He
is associated as an agent in Life Insurance Corporation of India since 1992 and Member of Top
of the table of LIC & Corporate clubs. He is Chairman of Club of Star Health and Allied
Insurance Co Ltd. and President of traffic education trust Kheda and Assistant Governor of
Rotary District 3060 and associated with so many Social Organizations.
Mr. Chinmay Amin is Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company
since August 13, 2024. He is MBA Finance from GHPIBM, S.P University. He is also holding a
degree of Diploma in Financial Planning from George Brown College, Toronto, Canada. He is Self
Employed and working as Tax Consultants and Project Consultants. He has vast experience of
more than 12 years in the field of Finance, Goods and Service Tax, Income Tax, Consultancy and
Business Analyst. He is also Director in Msgiri Services Private Limited, the Company engaged
in the business of manufacturing and trading of dietary and health care supplements.
